A pendulum is a weight suspended from a pivot point that can swing back and forth. It is often used as a tool for divination or as a way to access one’s subconscious mind.

In addition to divination and physics, pendulums have also been used in alternative healing practices, such as pendulum therapy, which involves using a pendulum to diagnose and treat energy imbalances in the body. However, the effectiveness of these practices is not supported by scientific evidence.
